The top four security problems found
in San Diego Unified City Schools are – drugs, weapons, gangs,
and aggressive or violent behavior from one student toward another.
According to one recent study, one in every three high school students
said they feel physically threatened at some point during a regular
school year.
As a result, many result to carrying a weapon for fear of physical harm.
Weapons are commonly found “stashed” in and around campuses.
It is no wonder that two times as many
teenagers as adults die of murder or that three times as many kill themselves.
